Product Queries:

Which teas come in teabags? What are they made of?

All of our teas come in loose leaf (inside tea tubes and eco pouches). At present, our samples boxes are the only product that contain teabags. Our teabags are made out of biodegradable corn starch so they are both good for you and the environment.

I don’t know much about making tea. Can you teach me?

Of course, we are here to help you get the best out of your cuppa. Here is our 5 top tips for the best cup of tea including our temperature chart for each tea type.

How should I store my tea?

To ensure you have the freshest cup of tea, store in a cool, dark place in an airtight container, away from outside aromas.

Where do you source your tea?

Our teas are sourced from small, family-owned tea farms in China. They are each committed to sustainable development and protection of the environment. These teas are blended with Australian Certified Organic herbs and spices.

The term ‘Certified Organic’ is overseen by a number of internationally recognised bodies, and our supplier is audited each year to guarantee organic integrity and strict certification standards.

Does your tea contain allergens?

If you have any questions regarding allergens, please don’t hesitate to get hold of us via the contact form on our website.

Is your tea suitable for vegetarians/vegans?

The only tea not suitable for vegans is our Sticky Chai made with honey.

Which teas can I drink whilst pregnant/breastfeeding?

Unfortunately we aren’t in a position to give medical advice regarding this topic. We would recommend consulting your doctor.

Does your tea contain caffeine?

As a general rule, all teas made from the tea plant (camellia sinensis) contain some level of caffeine. This includes white, green, black, oolong, puerh and yellow teas. If you are trying to avoid caffeine, why not try our Summer in Amsterdam which is caffeine free?

Can I drink expired tea?

Tea is a low-risk product and doesn’t pose a threat to your health if you consume it after its ‘best before’ date. However, to guarantee the freshest, tastiest cup, we recommend consuming before the date on the label.

Why does my tea taste a little different?

Tea is a natural product that will change taste depending on the season, weather conditions and the estate it came from. Although we work hard to keep the consistency of the product, you may notice slight variants in taste from time to time. If you believe the tea you have purchased doesn’t meet our strict quality standards, please let us know.
